Successive Mayor's of the City of Houston honor Gerry Fusco's turnaround success at BARC.
Hired as a consultant to turn around the City of Houston's troubled animal shelter and build an integrated team of effective leaders, Gerry was recently honored.
BARC, the City of Houston's " Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care" suffered from a longstanding history of animal mistreatment and inefficient use of City budgeted funds. Fusco developed processes, a new organizational structure and a more effective and transparent working relationship with concerned citizens that led to record animal Adoptions & Rescues and a vastly improved animal care facility.
The City Proclaims March 23, 2010 Gerry Fusco Day for his accomplishments; first vendor of the City of Houston to ever receive such recognition.
Council member Anne Clutter buck and ARA Director Alfred Moran honored Mr. Gerry Fusco with a City of Houston Mayoral Proclamation. Gerry Fusco was hired by the City of Houston for six months as the turn around agent for BARC.
